Riding the Waves
The earth is like a surfboard gliding along the waves of the ocean. Our life is us on that surfboard. The unseen is under the ocean. It’s so vast we cannot see but a small part of it. The depths of it are so deep they are unexplorable.
We have no idea what is beneath our very feet!
The sky is familiar and the air we breathe we know intimately. The feel of the sun on our skin is known to us. But the ocean is what we ride on. If we don’t flow with it, we could fall and be lost in it. If we don’t understand the tides then falling could mean certain death. When we go under, if we panic, we surely won’t make it back up to the surface again!
We must feel the energy of the ocean and connect with it. Despite the impossibility of knowing what it is we must flow effortlessly with it.
Oh, how life would change if we could connect with the unseen realm in this way! Riding the waves of life and remaining afloat. The exhilaration we would get from each wave instead of the dread and fear we currently live under.
We may still get tired and need some rest. We may still fall and get tumbled around in the current. But there would be only exhilaration and hope. A calmness knowing we will make it up to breath again. Knowing if we remain calm and connect with the ocean, we will feel the sun on our skin and air in our lungs and not only survive but thrive!
Getting back up on our boards and catching the next wave that will surely bring us to shore.
